DEAR PARENTS:
The
Clifton Middle School PTA welcomes you to our school! Our PTA has many
exciting things planned for the upcoming school year. We encourage you to
join the PTA and become an active vital part of our organization and school.
It is the
goal of the PTA to promote student achievement and to support the faculty and
staff in the process of educating our children. The PTA sponsors the
annual Cougarfest, the Scholars’ Banquet, Report Card Incentives, Teacher
Appreciation Week, Teacher and Staff Appreciation Luncheon, and the 8th
Grade Dance. The PTA also provides various student awards for the
promotion of academic and community service achievement.
The
Cougarfest, the annual PTA fall festival, is the major fundraiser for the PTA.
Held in October, the Cougarfest provides many opportunities for the parents and
faculty of the school to work together to raise the much needed PTA funds.
In the
past, the Clifton PTA has used funds to update the Parent Information Phone
System, new VCR’s for classroom use, books for the Accelerated Reader Program,
the computer lab in the library, outdoor pond and waterfall, and video cameras
for the English department. Volunteers are always needed and welcomed at
Clifton Middle School. Plans are currently under way for an exciting year
of volunteer opportunities at Clifton. Parent involvement is vital to
student achievement. If you have the time, we have a job for you.
Again we
welcome you to Clifton. Please take the time to join and participate in
the Clifton Middle School PTA. In August watch for PTA registration
material to come home with your student. Dues are only $5.00 for the next
